Disaster recovery is a subset of business continuity. While business continuity involves planning for keeping all aspects of a business functioning in the midst of disruptive events, disaster recovery focuses on the IT or technology systems that support business functions.<\/p>\n                            <h4>Become a Certified Disaster Recovery Professional<\/h4>\n                            <div>\n                                <p class=\\\"mb-2\\\"><strong>This certification requires the following knowledge and skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n                                <div>\n                                    <ul class=\\\"iconlist\\\">\n                                        <li><i class=\\\"icon-circle2\\\"><\/i> Working knowledge of all areas of the organization and the ability to develop a clear understanding of the company\u2019s key functional processes and resources.<\/li>\n                                        <li><i class=\\\"icon-circle2\\\"><\/i> Thorough knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies as well as the methods used in performing risk analyses and business impact analyses.<\/li>\n                                        <li><i class=\\\"icon-circle2\\\"><\/i> Working knowledge of data processing in order to assist in the preparation of recovery procedures in this area.<\/li>\n                                        <li><i class=\\\"icon-circle2\\\"><\/i> Working knowledge of data and voice telecommunications in order to assist in the preparation of recovery procedures in this area.<\/li>\n                                        <li><i class=\\\"icon-circle2\\\"><\/i> Good project management skills.<\/li>\n                                        <li><i class=\\\"icon-circle2\\\"><\/i> Ability to plan, organize, and direct the testing of emergency response, recovery support, and business resumption procedures.<\/li>\n                                        <li><i class=\\\"icon-circle2\\\"><\/i> Strong interpersonal skills to interface with managers and staff at all levels within the organization and to deal with vendors of record storage facilities and disaster recovery services.<\/li>\n Concerning Minors<\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n                            <p class=\\\"mb-2\\\">The age requirement for attending the training or the exam is restricted to any candidate that is permitted by his\/her country of origin\/residency.<\/p>\n                            <p>If the candidate is under the legal age as permitted by his\/her country of origin\/residency, they are not eligible to attend the official training or eligible to attempt the certification exam unless they provide the accredited training center\/EC-Council a written consent\/indemnity of their parent\/legal guardian and a supporting letter from their institution of higher learning. Only candidates from a nationally accredited institution of higher learning shall be considered.<\/p>\n                            <p><strong>Disclaimer:<\/strong> EC-Council reserves the right to impose additional restriction to comply with the policy.
