Michael Hughes (Chair)
Michael Hughes is a Head of Information Security for a global law firm, responsible for all aspects of information security including: the design and implementation of security solutions, conducting security assessments, internal audits, internal investigations, compliance with ISO27001:2013. as well as assisting with the alignment of operational procedures with information security best practices. He has extensive experience in risk management, policy development, ISO27001, vulnerability management, auditing of IT and physical security, investigations, incident response and computer forensics across the legal, commercial and government sectors.
Joseph Juchniewicz (Vice Chair)
Joseph A. Juchniewicz is a Risk and Compliance Senior Consultant that provides high-level consulting services to customers primarily in the area of information security, including the design and implementation of security solutions, conducting security assessments, as well as assisting with the alignment of operational procedures with information security best practices. He has extensive experience in vulnerability and penetration testing, social engineering, physical security assessments, investigations, incident response, and computer forensics.
Jean-Marc Dupuis has been in the IT sector for over 20 years, with more than fifteen years of experience focused in the IT Security field. In his work, has implemented IT Security Infrastructure solutions aimed as mitigating risks, vulnerabilities and incidents as well as ensuring compliance with industry standards. His clients include various Government of Canada departments, crown corporations, and private sector firms. His first-hand knowledge and experience is complimented by his various certifications including CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CRISC, CEH, ECSA, and CHFI. Jean-Marc is a true technology junky, always seeking out opportunities to learn about upcoming technology and trends in the security field.
Justin Brecese is a cybersecurity professional with experience in the public and private sectors as a forensic analyst, incident responder, consultant, and college instructor. Justin currently serves as a DFIR Director for The Crypsis Group, a cybersecurity consulting firm based in McLean Virginia, providing incident response and forensic investigation services for clients of all sizes, from all industries, suffering from cyber attacks. Previously he worked as a forensic analyst for the US Department of Homeland Security.
Justin Harwell is a cybersecurity researcher and practitioner with a background in blockchain technologies, cryptography and malware analysis. With over 15 years experience in the field of cybersecurity and threat mitigation tactics, techniques and procedures; Justin is well skilled at identifying indicators of compromise (IOC's) and able to make well-formed determinations about complex risk environments. Justin is currently the Global Director of Information & Cybersecurity for Wind River Systems. In this capacity, he leads the daily operations of the Information Security Office for the leader in transformative digital Ai solutions and Real-TIme Operating Systems. Justin has been awarded the CEH, CHFI and LPT certifications from EC-Council among other high-profile certifications. He also holds a Top Secret Security Clearance with the DoD and received the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service during his tenure in the military.
Malek Al-Zewairi is a Security Researcher, Consultant, and Trainer with over eight-years of industrial experience in the security and digital forensics field. Over the years, he acquired more than 16 professional security certificates and he pursued a PhD degree in Computer Science with a focus on Next- Gen Intrusion Detection Systems. In 2015, Malek Co-founded the Jordan Information Security and Digital Forensics (JISDF) Research Group as a leading independent academic research group focusing on Information Security and Digital Forensics in Jordan. In 2020, Malek Co-founded Cyber Vision Intelligence L.C.C., a start-up company based in Jordan specialized in cybersecurity and digital forensics solutions.
A decree educated security professional with over 30 years experience. He has a varied background with many years of experience within information technology and information security. He has earned a variety of industry recognised certifications. He has extensive experience in vulnerability and penetration testing, social engineering, physical security assessments, investigations, incident response, and computer forensics. He has completed assignments in the public space for UK MOD, FCO, Central and Local Government departments. Also International Defence, Aerospace and Maritime clients. Has held the highest security clearances for UK and NATO. Has also completed assignments for International Financial and Legal clients. Has provide training and management of multinational team personnel from various technical disciplines in various security cleared environments.
Mr. Santosh Khadsare is an Information Security professional who specializes in Digital Forensics and is presently heading a Digital Forensic Lab at New Delhi, India since last 5 years. He is a B.E (Electronics and Telecommunications) and possesses additional qualifications such as CHFI, CEH, RHCSA, IVTA (CMU), Advance Cyber Forensic Course (CDAC), Cyber Crime Investigator, and Access Data Certified Professional. He has 20+ years plus of rich experience in the field of Information Security, Digital Forensics, Cyber Audit, Cyber Laws and Incident Response. He has been a speaker in various international conferences such as International Conference on Cyber Law, Cybercrime & Cyber Security, C0C0N, HAKON, Hackers Day, National Cyber Defense Summit and GovInfoSec Summit Asia. He has also authored various articles on information security and Digital Forensics in national and international publications. He also won the COMMUNITY STAR award at NULLCON International Cyber Security Conference 2017.
Steve Petrie is a Senior Security Engineer at Telos Corporation with over 30 years of experience in the information technology field. He provides high-level technical services for the Department of Defense and various commercial entities. He has experience providing technical security assessments, physical security assessments, vulnerability and penetration testing. Mr. Petrie holds a BS in Information Technology and currently holds several certifications including CEH, CHFI, ECSA, OPST, and CISSP.
Vahab Iranmanesh has 18 years' experience in IT security. He holds multiple networking and security certifications such as CCNP, MCSE, CEH and CHFI, with penetration testing and digital forensics experience. Vahab holds PhD in Communication and Network Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He is a professional trainer at EC-Council Malaysia to conduct various cybersecurity workshops, seminars and courses for private and public sectors. He is currently working as programme leader of bachelor of computer networking and security (BCNS) in Sunway University.
The specific duties and responsibilities of the SC members include:
- Approve key policies governing the operation of EC-Council Certification Division.
- Assuring consistency of decision making as well as the criteria used therein.
- Serve on appeals and complaints task groups as appointed by the SC Chair.
- Promote and provide guidance to promote EC-Council certifications.
- Provide guidance regarding international initiatives supporting EC-Council certifications.
- Provide guidance to support educational initiatives related to EC-Council certifications.
- Determine areas of research required to improve EC-Council certifications.
- Serve on task forces / subcommittees as appointed by the SC Chair.
