Threat Intelligence Essential (T|IE)

What is the Threat Intelligence Essential (T|IE) program?

The Threat Intelligence Essentials course provides learners with a strong foundational knowledge of threat intelligence concepts and tools. Covering essential topics such as the cyber threat landscape and its various types, this course prepares you for a progressive career path as a threat intelligence analyst. No prior IT or cybersecurity experience is required.

Test your knowledge with CTF-based Capstone Projects and validate your newly acquired skills through proctored exams. The course includes 20 hours of premium self-paced video training across 10 modules and 11 labs, preparing students for real-world problems.

Cybersecurity and technology-based mitigation approaches heavily rely on intelligence. The Threat Intelligence Essentials program aims to enhance your understanding and implementation of foundational threat intelligence concepts, distinguishing intelligence from data or information, and emphasizing its vital role in modern cybersecurity. The program enables students to explore the threat intelligence lifecycle, understand its significance in shaping team roles, delve into ethical and legal considerations, and grasp the importance of measuring threat intelligence effectiveness.

As you progress through the program, you’ll master the different types of threat intelligence: strategic, operational, tactical, and technical. You will learn how each type uniquely contributes to areas like regulatory compliance and risk management. Later modules engage you in hands-on activities involving data collection, analysis, and the use of Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs) for real-world applications in threat hunting and detection.

One of the course’s key features is the capstone project with CTF challenges, where you’ll tackle authentic objectives, demonstrating your critical thinking, knowledge application, and hands-on skills in a controlled environment. Threat Intelligence Essentials prepares students for careers as Security Operations Center (SOC) Analysts, Threat Intelligence Analysts, IT Risk Analysts, or Cybersecurity Analysts, equipping them with the expertise to confidently tackle today’s cybersecurity challenges.
