The SOC Essentials (S|CE) Series aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of both security professionals and freshers. This course focuses on providing insights into security operations frameworks and related technologies essential for mastering the foundational concepts of SOC.
In this program, you will learn the basics of computer networks, the TCP/IP model, the OSI model, Windows/Linux/Unix security concepts, and the fundamentals of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attacks. You will explore SOC architecture, its importance, workflow, and processes. Additionally, the course covers advanced architectural concepts such as SIEM architecture, deployment models, and commonly used data sources.
You will also learn about log management, including dashboards, reports, and incident escalation, dealing with real positive and false alerts. Clause: Age Requirements and Policies Concerning Minors
Minors are not permitted to take the EC-Council exam without a written consent/indemnity letter signed by their parent or legal guardian, along with a supporting letter from their institution of learning. Only candidates from a nationally accredited institution of learning shall be considered.

Exam Renewal
Post a successful exam attempt, the S|CE certification credential will have a validity period of three years from the date of the successful exam attempt. Post this three-year term, EC-Council members may recertify by passing the S|CE exam again. There are no Continuing Education fees or EC-Council Continuing Education Credits (ECE’s) required to maintain the S|CE certification credential during the three-year term.
