What is the DevSecOps Essentials (D|SE) program?

DevSecOps Essentials (D|SE) provides fundamental skills in DevSecOps, offering key insights into identifying application development risks and securing and testing applications across on-premises, cloud providers, and hybrid infrastructures. No prior IT or cybersecurity experience is required.

Test your skills with Capstone Projects and validate your newly acquired knowledge through proctored exams. The course features 9 practical labs, 12 hours of premium self-paced video training, and 12 modules, ensuring that students gain recognition and secure better opportunities for the next step after completing D|SE.

The DevSecOps Essentials program offers foundational knowledge in secure application development, or DevSecOps. You will learn to identify application development risks and secure and test applications within on-premises, cloud providers, and hybrid infrastructures. Participate in a capstone project to demonstrate your ability to think critically, apply your knowledge, and use hands-on skills to resolve various challenges. After completing this program, you will be prepared to pursue a career in secure application development. Clause: Age Requirements and Policies Concerning Minors

Minors are not permitted to take the EC-Council exam without a written consent/indemnity letter signed by their parent or legal guardian, along with a supporting letter from their institution of learning. Only candidates from a nationally accredited institution of learning shall be considered.

Exam Renewal

Post a successful exam attempt, the D|SE certification credential will have a validity period of three years from the date of the successful exam attempt. Post this three-year term, EC-Council members may recertify by passing the D|SE exam again. There are no Continuing Education fees or EC-Council Continuing Education Credits (ECE’s) required to maintain the D|SE certification credential during the three-year term.
