Artificial Intelligence Essentials (AIE) is EC-Council’s foundational AI literacy certification. It equips professionals and students with a practical understanding of how AI works, how it is used, and how to engage with it responsibly in real-world environments.

Exam Renewal
Post a successful exam attempt, the AIE certification credential will have a validity period of three years from the date of the successful exam attempt. Post this three-year term, EC-Council members may recertify by passing the AIE exam again. There are no Continuing Education fees or EC-Council Continuing Education Credits (ECE’s) required to maintain the AIE certification credential during the three-year term.
